HOW DOES POSITIVE RESTAURANT WORK?

  1. Ordering

The waiters enter an order into the system at the table by selecting items on a mobile device or traditionally at the server POS station. Then the order is automatically sent to the kitchen, where it can either printed out or displayed on a Kitchen Display Screen.  This depends upon the cinema requirements.

 

  1. Order fulfilment

When an order is ready, the staff selects the appropriate option on the kitchen’s KDS touch screen. A message is sent to a screen displaying orders or to the servers’  mobile POS.

 

  1. Food cost analysis

Enter meal recipes once and then enter information about which food items should be ordered. There is a special report which identifies which menus during a given period are the most profitable. This can be very important as raw material prices can change throughout a year. Based on that, the manager may decide to set up promotions with meals marked by the highest profit margins.

 

  1. Buying food ingredients, settling stock and restaurant production

The module enables the replenishment of ingredients with a feature of daily, weekly, or monthly usage analysis. It sends alerts when lower and upper inventory thresholds are exceeded, as well as when expiry dates are coming due. It can also identify potential fraud by employees.

 

  1. Profitability analysis and balancing staff’s transactions

Perform income and margin analysis by individual menu items, employees, months, days or work time and by any other criteria of your choice. Make an in-depth cost analysis and run advanced reporting. KIOSK

Kiosks which allow customers to buy tickets and concessions without staff assistance. Sales can be combined with loyalty schemes, coupons and vouchers.

USHER APP

An application for ushers to control validation of tickets at the entry point to the screens.

HOW DOES POSITIVE USHER APP WORK?

The portable/mobile device running the app can scan a QR code or a bar code from the ticket which the customer received after an online purchase.

The ticket will have a QR code or a bar code which was sent via text message or e-mail. Before the customer enters the screen, the usher scans the code.

The usher receives a message on his portable/mobile device instantaneously confirming that the ticket is either valid or not valid.

The app can also control of the number of glasses given to viewers for 3D shows. Instead traditional, unreliable solution of comparing the number of glasses with the number of tickets, the system compares the number of glasses with the actual number of customers in the audience, which prevents potential errors when distributing glasses.

ACCESS GATES

A system of turnstiles installed at the entry points to the Cinema Screens.

POSITIVE CAMERAS

HOW DOES POSITIVE CAMERAS WORK?

Cameras continuously record selling points. The system overlays the captured video with POS transactions such as items, prices, discounts, cash drawer openings, returns, voids and cash returns.

Key events like cash drawer opening, discounts, returns, voids etc. are easily accessible due to the system of timestamps, therefore making it extremely easy and quick, to determine if the physical operations are in line with POS registered transactions.

The events are stored in a database which is fully searchable by employee, item, operation type, discount, date and time and much more.

In addition, all information is sent directly to Headquarters and stored in a central database.

AIR CONDITIONING

A module for controlling air conditioning in order to provide optimal ventilation in different areas of the cinema.

HOW DOES POSITIVE AIR CONDITIONING WORK?

Air Conditioning systems become more efficient by determining optimal ventilation levels.

Air Conditioning systems independently detect and adjust temperatures in cinema screens, however they cannot detect and adjust the intensity of ventilation. Typically, it is the responsibility of staff to make adjustments or in most cases, no adjustments are made, resulting in the same ventilation throughout the facility. Such ventilation levels may not always be suitable for certain rooms, resulting in unnecessary costs.

The Air Conditioning application uses admissions data from sales modules. The module uses algorithms to processes this information, which results in optimal ventilation of heating or cooling devices. During maintenance breaks, ventilation is turned off. With low admissions in a screen, ventilation is decreased. And when the screen is fully booked, however, ventilation runs at full capacity.

With automated vent control, the audience experiences far greater comfort when in the screen. And the cinema avoids wasting money.

STAFF SCHEDULER

Easy to use tool to prepare optimized cinema work schedule.

WHY STAFF SCHEDULER?

HOW DOES STAFF SCHEDULER WORK?

Only a few easy steps are needed to schedule your staff for a week or any other chosen period:

  1. Choose a traffic template. For example, the week with a blockbuster weekend. The Template determines how many employees are required by position such as each weekday two cashiers will be at the box office but on the weekend, there will be 4, plus two people for concessions, one manager, one technician, one usher, and one cleaner. Of course, the template can be modified or new ones can be created.
  2. You determine hours for each position, for example, cashier station 1 should be occupied from 10:00am till 8:00pm, cashier station 2 from 2:00pm till 10:00pm and cashier 3 from 5:00pm till 1:00 am the next day.
  3. Special skills can be marked for any position, as needed
  4. The System automatically assigns employees to a schedule. It is done based on employee’s skills, costs of their work – finding the lowest possible cost with assumed level of skills and employees’ availability – their holidays and sick days.
  5. The last step is acceptance of the schedule. If it is not accepted then it can be changed manually. Once the assignment is accepted,  the employees will be  informed electronically of their schedule.
  6. If there is a need for odd-jobs, employees will receive notifications as needed. The ones, which reply first for a chosen position are noted in the system.

At any time you can get reports regarding employee’s work attendance such as how many hours, days, what position, what was the work cost. You can also get reports on the workload for groups of positions and associated costs.

For each employee, there is information on skills, contract details, contact data, wages, holidays, sick days, some health-related records and user fields customizable for own use.
Staff Scheduler is a native part of POSitive Cinema. In addition, it has an API to enable easy integration with any payroll system.
